The ASS heating tape is wrapped around the frozen drain pipe or valve. The 12V plug supplies 70W of power via the cigarette lighter to thaw the drain pipes and valves in a battery-saving manner. The thawing time depends on the length and diameter of the drain pipe, the insulation and the prevailing outside temperatures. The thawing time can be between 5 -60 minutes.
